Now, by virtue of it being an APK, FilmPlus can’t be downloaded via the conventional method that is downloading it directly from the amazon app store. Instead, what we will have to do first is install an app called ‘Downloader’. This particular app is itself available to download from the app store and it basically allows you to install or download third-party apps(via their APKs).

The second step would be to allow your Firestick device to download apps from unknown sources. This is a security configuration that you have to switch.

And lastly, we will be installing the FilmPlus APK on Firestick by making use of the Downloader app.

Step 1 Download the ‘Downloader’ app to Install FilmPlus APK on Firestick

• From the Home of your Firestick device click on Find.

• Now, once the Downloader app is installed press and hold the home button for mere 2 seconds. This should result in the opening of a menu. From there select ‘Settings’.
• From the options now displayed, you now have to select ‘My Fire TV’.
• On the next screen, click on ‘Developer Options’.
• Now, on the next screen, you may see two options that totally depend on the kind of OS version your Firestick has. You can see either of these options: ‘Apps from unknown sources’ or ‘Install unknown apps. In either case, if it’s turned off by default, you just have to turn it back on.
• To turn them on just scroll in and select the option to get it turned on.
• On the next screen, you might see that the permission is off for the Downloader app. Now, again you just have to scroll down to Downloader and turn on the permission by selecting it.

Step 3: Making use of the Downloader app

• Now, you will have to open the Downloader app that you just installed from your Firestick home screen or app list.

• Wait for a minute or so to get the FilmPlus APK downloaded.
• Now, you will see an installation prompt or pop up. Select ‘Install’.
• It may take a few minutes depending on the speed of your internet for the APK to finish downloading.
• Now, when the app is installed you will receive a confirmation notification.
• The notification may contain the ‘Open’ option which you don’t have to click on just yet. Rather, click on ‘Done’ and this will take you back to your Downloader screen.
• Now, we don’t need the APK anymore, as we have converted into the app now which has also become separate from it. So, you now have to select ‘Delete’ to delete this APK file. Deleting the APK will also save you some space in your Firestick device.
• Select, ‘Delete’ again to confirm your action of deleting the APK file.
